I find that the drive shaft that you have to manually put into the machine is quite a loose fit and often falls out when I take the bowl of the base. Does anyone else have this problem! It's only about a year old and I love it but find this very irritating.

Yes Sylvia. Mine is loose. So loose it fact I just assume it's meant to be that way! I like the food processor enough but that is annoying to me too.

Thanks, I thought I may have had a dud. It isn't good is it for such an iconic brand to be reduced to this.

The other thing that annoys me is when I use the machine to crumb things like biscuits. The biscuit crumbs go up into the small space between the lid and the bowl and when you take the lid off they fall all over the bench. Very annoying. Does your one do this too!
