Basic idea from david. You can probably leave out the spices if it's for children.
Kebabs

500 minced lamb
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 ripe tomato, diced
1 tsp pomegranate molasses
1 heaped tab Kofte spice mix
black pepper
salt

Mix all and knead several minutes. Chill at least 20 min.

Mould on to skewers in fat sausages, grill until golden and completely cooked.

Serve with salad of parsley, mint, onion, lemon & sumac, with warm flatbread.

I make this quite a bit (with minimal loss of the mince) also add tomatoes, capsicum, courgette, mushrooms, pineapple or whatever. Also try cooked sausages cut into halves, quarters or thirds (alternatively slice lengthways, then in half) - a good cheap meal with lots of colour.Remember if you don't have metal skewers, use the bamboo ones from $2 shop (remember to soak in tray of water for at least half an hour before threading on your ingredients).
