Does anyone remember the little pastry cases with a mock oyster filling that one could buy in cafe's a few years ago! Does anyone have a recipe for it please!

you can use the root of the salsify to make mock oyster filling, maybe google will help you

Aunt Daisy has lots of 'Mock' recipes because of the frugal war years, but when I checked an ancient edition I could could find only Mock Crab for sandwiches.
If you use Google, and put 'Mock Oyster' into the search you'll get a variety of recipes for dips and other things.
