Does anyone know of a good recipe that children will enjoy, I have tins of the stuff and really thinking of getting a cat!

When I was a child I adored tinned sardines mashed with vinegar and pepper and spread on hot buttered toast.

Mash them and mix with grated potato, add flour, baking powder & egg and fry - makes mock whitebait fritters - our kids loved them.

Hated sardines as a child (would usually manage to feed them to the cat without mum noticing) but love them now.I also know that it wouldn't matter what I did to them my kids wouldn't eat them (unless I could somehow make them look and taste like a burger)

Add in some finely diced onion - yum.

In the summer my mum used to mash up a tin of sardines with diced onion, chopped tomato, cucumber, grated carrot, and whatever else she had on hand that was good in a salad, mix it up with mayo, S & P, by the time she was finished she had quite a large bowl of delicious sandwich filling, we would pile it on bread with crisp lettuce from dads garden.Still love it to this day.
