I do mine in my crockpot. Cover with 3 parts water 1 part malt vinegar. I also throw in a couple of garlic cloves and cut up an onion & 1 teaspoon of mustard powered. Cook on high until boiling then turn to low for the rest of the day.

You can also do it in a regular saucepan on the stove top if you don't have a slow cooker/crockpot.
