Many many years ago an English friend cooked me what he said was a traditional dish from his part of England.He called it Cow Pie.I remember how much I enjoyed it and would like to cook it for myself.I can only recall that it involved cooking beef pieces for some time, then the beef was mashed into potatoes.i don't know now what the other ingredients might have been, but the dish ended up being baked in the oven and was served with blue peas.Does anyone know of this dish please?

kaiser2, here are a couple of links to Cow Pie recipes, but neither have any mention of the beef being mashed into potatoes, but both pies have a suet pastry 'lid'/top.
