Brings back memories from school fair baking Edmonds book - 2c br or white sugar 1c water 1TBSP vinegar 1TBSP butter Few drops food colouring (opt) Put all ingredients into a saucepan. Boil without stirring until a little tried in cold water snaps. Pour into buttered tins. Wait till partly set then insert sticks.
Special Toffee 2c sugar 2TBSPs butter 2TBSP milk 1TBSP vinegar Put all ingredients into a saucepan & stir till boiling. Boil 3 - 4 mins or until mixture is clear. Pour into greased tins

Oh Jessie that does bring back memories; The special toffee is definitely the best around, yummy and creamy!!Yummy!! Oh boy now i really want to eat it!!!
