Anyone coloured condensed milk? or other ways to

make black jelly? I want to make layered jelly squares to resemble licorice allsorts. I have this recipe http://www.tablespoon.com/recipes/holly-jolly-jelly-shots/264363eb-110a-4469-936d-996666ae98bc/?nicam4=SocialMedia&nichn4=Pinterest&niseg4=Tablespoon&nicreatID4=Post&crlt.pid=camp.CaNjfuUq76qZ which makes white jelly by adding condensed milk to geletin. I'm thinking that to make it resemble licorice, that I could just add black food colouring to the condensed milk? Or would that just go grey? I have both liquid and gel colours. I know I could just experiment butI though I'd ask if anyone has tried this first. I did think about just colouring plain geletin but I was thinking that might be too see through? I am wanting a solid black
