Cream Pastry piping & Icing bags-any difference?

I want to teach myself how to pipe and need some bags. Is there any difference between Cream Pastry piping bags & Icing bags - both disposable, please! They are both 16". TIA.

16" is quite large. It maybe easier for you to learn with a smaller bag. There will be less excess bag to hold in your hand.

I wouldnt think so, perhaps the opening at the bottom for the nozzle is larger. A food piping bag is usually larger because you are using for things like potato etc. If you are wanting to pipe icing, go for the icing bag. 16" is pretty large though, you could go smaller which may be better and give you more control while learning.

Thank you for your advice, it's much appreciated. I will get smaller bags as you suggest and try with those. Thanks again.
