Boiled Chocolate Cake? HELP

Not sure if recipe is from here. Have mixed but very moist so wondering if ingredients are correct before I bake. It's a birthday cake for tomorrow.

Have just taken my trusty out but here's the one I made last night
1&1/2c sugar
1c water
100gr butter
2TBSP cocoa
1/2tsp b/soda
Stir over a low heat until butter melts. Bring to boil & simmer 5mins. Cool then add
2 beaten eggs
1&1/2c flour
1&1/2 raised tsp b/powder
Bake 1hr @ 180
P.S Hope the birds enjoytheir birthday cake. Think the moral of the sotry is never try a new recipe when baking for someone else.

what was wrong with it once cooked?

I have never made a boiled cake like this one, so not much help on this.

texture was quite holey, hardly rose & when I broke in half bottom half was a lighter cocoa than top. Doesn'tseem to be enough flour, butter in the recipe. The one I have just made has 200gr butter & 3c flour etc

found that recipe here and its for a 20" cake tin and not a big cake.
