I had a bad experience after eating pesto we made with Pine Nuts from China. They can leave a bitter after taste in your mouth for up to 2 weeks mine lasted about 1 week. Steer clear, I usually don't buy any food that comes from China but just grabbed the pine nuts when in a hurry without checking.

I think most of the pinenuts in the bulk bins are from China.
