We have found a hazelnut tree that has dropped nuts all over the ground, so we've been collecting them. Most of them taste a bit green. Do they continue to dry out and become ready to eat over time? How long will the take? Thanks :o)

If the nuts have dropped naturally (and not been knocked off intentionally) they might ripen. Hopefully someone else knows how long this might take.
