it's not sticky because you are just re-steaming it and colouring it with the soya sauce - this makes a very wet imitation of fried rice.

wrong. . its not steaming at all and it is not wet when finished.

When you cook your rice, rinse it with your fingers to get rid of the starch which turns to glue. Cook the rice first thing in the morning, 1 cup of rice and 1 cup of water. Cook in a rice cooker or:
Cook it in a pot with the lid on. Once it starts to boil and steam escapes from under the lid, turn the element off and leave the pot and lid on the element. After about 20 minutes it will be cooked, and not gluggy. If you do this in the morning, it will be ok for dinner to
stir fry or you can put it in the fridge spread thinly on a dinner plate.
Make a egg omlette and slice it up.
When making fried rice, add oil such as sesame or peanut for flavour, add sliced onion, sliced ham, sliced spring onion, sliced egg pancake, finely chopped carrot, and the rice, stir until done.
