A friend wants one as a gift..she does a bit of home bakin/decorating so would like to buy a book she can learn and improve her skills from. Should I just get a Wilton Cupcake pack?

before i buy cookbooks i try to borrow it from the library and see if i like it once i actually get to read it, most libraries have the good cupcake books too! or find a recipe in one that you know really well and see if they use that or a similar method, is a good indicator if youll like it

The Crabapple Bakery Cupcake Cookbook.Great recipes, and good hints about which toppings etc work best with which techniques, lots of recipes that can be adjusted to make them easier or harder... also heaps of ingredients that can be found at supermarkets rather than specialty stores.

She does the most beautiful mini cakes ever. Trudi Styler ( Stings wife) and Gwyneth Paltrow are customers.

These are one of my favourite designs she does. Her book is fabulous and every time I get it in, it goes within a couple of days.

Was watching the girls in the Cupcake place in the mall yesterday and envying them their range of tiny cutters.Suggested husband might take up cutter making as a hobby but no response sadly.A mixed container of all sorts of tiny ones would be good - have you ever seen one Pam?I have quite a lot of cookie cutters but only some pretty predictable flowers, leaves and hearts in the very tiny ones.

Wilton do a number of fondant cutters. You can also get aspic cutters in a tin, they come in shapes such as triangles, diamonds, circles etc.
