hello there i have found that the recipes in the book for the gorge forman are not the best to use due to being Australian measures try this and see how you go
French bread 2 lb loaf med crust (put in order) 1 1/2 cup warm water 4 Ts oil 1 ts salt 1Ts sugar 4 cup high-grade flour 2 1/2 ts bread maker yeast (tasti brand) see how you go with that i also think that the machine need a bit of breaking in befor you get the best out of it happy bread making

I too have bought a George Forman breadmaker and after reading blogs from people I am having doubts about my purchase. First try of making a loaf it was really heavy but after reading other notes and recipes I used extra water and second loaf was much lighter. Guess it will be trial and error to get right mix.

I got a george forman bread maker and it makes beautiful light fluffy bread, you might need to make sure you are measuring and weighing properly
