has anyone a tried and true recipe for these please.Request from a 6 year old for her birthday in a couple of weeks time and not wanting to disapoint her.Thought she meant shaped, but no they have to have pumpkin in them! Her favourite food for the moment. Have googled it and looked briefly, but as I am after one that has been tried felt my best bet was to ask on here.Hope you guys can once again help.

A most unusual request for sure! This recipe is for a pumpkin scone - but not in the true sense.I'd just flatten them a little once on the try and voila - cookies. They wouldn't be crispy however they are certainly very tasty.
1 tbsp hot water,1 tbsp margarine,1/2 cup sugar 1 egg,1 c cold mashed pumpkin 2 cups flour3 tsp baking powder1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp salt (opt)
Blend water, sugar and margarine.Beat in pumpkin and egg.Add sifted dry ingredients.Blend thoroughly and drop spoonful lots onto a greased tray (baking paper lined if possible).Bake 12 - 15 mins 200 deg C.
NBIf you have salted the pumpkin to cook it, do not add salt to the recipe.
