Flaky Pastry Do I blind bake it

Want to make some savoury type pies (open top) and would prefer to use flaky pastry (store not homemade) do I need to blind bake the pastry before filling? If so for how long? The filling is quite wet. Thanks

Yes, if it is a wet filling.

Loosely cover the unbaked pastry with a baking sheet larger than the size of the pastry.Fill with ceramic pie weights, dried beans, pasta or rice and bake.The pastry should be baked sufficiently to hold a moist filling or fully baked for a fresh fruit pie.
