1tsp vanilla essence
Melt butter, sugar, cocoa & vanilla esence in a suacepan. Remove from heat & add beaten egg. Bring slowly to boil & add crushed biscuits. Press into sponge roll tin & chill in fridge. Ice (opt)

This is roughly what I do... it can vary depending on whats on hand (sometimes add chopped nuts, etc).
1 cup sugar
1 packet of biscuits - malt, wine, milk coffee... etc
2 T cocoa
1 t vanilla
Melt butter, sugar & egg together. Crush biscuits, and add to butter mix with cocoa & vanilla. Mix well & press into a slice tin. Ice with choc icing. Easy peasy :)
