Hi I had this recipe some time back it either came from an Alison holst recipe or from a book that came with my oven when I bought it, but think it was Alison Holst. If anyone has this, it is a boiled fruti loaf recipe with just a tbsp butter in it, i would be gratefu.

is this what you are after: Sultana Loaf, 1 cup boiling water, 1 cup sultanas, 1 cup sugar, 1 tbspn golden syrup, 1oz butter, 1 tspn b. soda, boil all of the above in a pot for 3-5 mins. Once cooled add 1beaten egg, 2 cups flour, 1 tsp b. powder, 1 tspn cinnamon and drop vanilla, put in a greased loaf tin bake in moderate oven for 1 hour

this is it... but I use butter not oil. In the same recipe that's in her best baking book it says butter.
