No egg - Ginger Bread

Has anyone got a recipe for No egg - Ginger Bread! I am am making it for baking section part of local flowershow. Had the recipe last year and lost it! Not after gingerbread men recipe just the Bread recipe thanks.

I dont personally have one, however, there is one online. You might want to try it first as a test run.

I found the first one you mentioned but dont really like idea of using molasses (although that is original way) but thankyou for the 2nd which sounds like the one I used last year so I might give that one a go :)

That looks like an American recipe, in which case the "molasses" is what we call treacle.I agree - if you use what we call molasses (Black Strap molasses) it would be inedible.

I have been making this ginger loaf for years.Sometimes make it into muffins also.
Melt 2 OZ butter and 3 Tbs golden syrup and 1 1/4 cup milk in pot.
Add 1 tsp baking soda.
Add 2 cups flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 1 tsp ginger, 1 1/2 tsp mixed spice.
Mix, put in loaf tin and cook 180 degrees for about 1/2 hour.
