Where was the ofal tonight!

Head to tail, Ha

strebor1, Mar 31, 3:56am
Agreed. But there are a couple of good women there as well, so it is a matter of who keeps their cool, and who has luck on their side. I don't believe it is ever about the best cook winning in these competitions. Do you agree!

strebor1, Mar 31, 3:57am
Having said all that it is the turn for a male to win!

elliehen, Mar 31, 5:36am
I'll believe the result is not somewhat manipulated when an obese cook with a squint and a speech impediment wins Masterchef ;-)

duckmoon, Mar 31, 5:39am
This show is about entertaining me.
They didnt do that tonight.
I wanted to know what fish they were and who got exactly what score.

elliehen, Mar 31, 5:53am
It's too condensed, isn't it!They've hardly started before they're plating up and then appearing all scrubbed up for the elimination ritual.

mwood, Mar 31, 6:05am
yes we see some prep and a lot of plating but very little cooking

bedazzledjewels, Mar 31, 3:20pm
Totally agree. I didn't even have time to get my hard sudoku done and they were tasting. As Duckmoon said - where was the offal! Too much use of pressure cookers too. The judges keep talking up the standard but, really, it's not on show to us yet.

katy20, Mar 31, 7:01pm
I agree
it was almost as if they edited out a segment of the show. I too was extremely disappointed they didnt show a complete closeupof all the fish and let us know what they all were. I wanted to have ago at identifying them myself but the glimpses were quick and scarce. I agree we had no idea how many fish each competitor correctly identified. If Chris hadnt messed up the orderhe wrote them down he might have won that challenge or been equal with Aaron but who know how many Aaron got right but likely all of them as he is very knowlegeable.
i wish they woulddo more on fish .

bedazzledjewels, Mar 31, 7:03pm
I was interested to know the fish types too.
Not good enough Masterchef. Felt highly edited to me.

unknowndisorder, Mar 31, 8:34pm
top mark was six. bottom mark was less than that, possibly even zero but no idea.
Only know the top mark as it was in the interview with the dude who was eliminated last night, I think on the Herald website.

mwood, Mar 31, 9:16pm
The "winner" had 6 correct - the "loser" said he has 9 correct but wrote them down in the wrong order which he tried to correct - can you see the fault in his reasoning !

coast_palms, Mar 31, 9:24pm
Correct person left last night. That guy Chris has been quite cocky about his talents. An odd fish.
Offal were the trotters.and perhaps the cheeks.
I think if they had included the head it would have been an unfair disadvantage. Really the only thing you can do with a head is boil it, brawn it or cure it and that would have taken more than 3 hours.

coast_palms, Mar 31, 9:29pm
Aaron has an amazing talent with food. No surprises if he won.he already deserves to. He is by far the most exciting cook out of the lot of them.
Aaron first, Dave second, Ella third.

The rest of them are really good, but substantially behind those 3 in terms of talent, ability and creativity.

strebor1, Mar 31, 9:41pm
Ella is quite young, and to be so good, she certainly has a great future!

cloudy22, Mar 31, 9:46pm
I agree wholeheartedly.and you can also add in an obnoxious personalitytot he mix as well.

goodbooks, Apr 1, 1:43am
Aaron is. inspiring! We're looking forward to seeing what else he'll do in shows to come.

nfh1, Apr 1, 3:43am
It was the weirdest programme - I had recorded it and thought I had fast forwarded through part of it as the fish part was totally unconnected to the pig section.Have given up with it now, not even worth recording when you can fast forward it, must be dreadful to sit through with the ads as well.

- What a cool party! I just can't believe how big your liltte girl has gotten! I see her liltte baby face everyday on my patterns so I forget how big she is. It goes too fast!

Rewrote for our use, but should be usufel to others. Let me know if you notice a bug. Tx Just call the function passing your specific values, returns object with items for display on page, as well as the pagination code to place on your page.[PHP]function getPaginationItems($tbl_name, $orderby = , $adjacents, $limit, $targetpage) {$items = array();$dbh = db_connect();$query = SELECT COUNT(*) as num FROM . $tbl_name;$result = $dbh->query($query);if (PEAR::isError($result)) { die($result->getMessage() ); } // catch db error$total_rows = $result->fetchRow()->num;/* Setup vars for query. */$page = isset($_GET['page']) ? $_GET['page'] : 0;if($page)$start = ($page 1) * $limit; //first item to display on this pageelse$start = 0;//if no page var is given, set start to 0/* Get data. */$query = SELECT * FROM . $tbl_name . . $dbh->quote($orderby, text', false) . LIMIT . $start . ,' . $limit;$result = $dbh->query($query);if (PEAR::isError($result)) { die($result->getMessage() ); } // catch db errorwhile ( $r = $result->fetchRow() ) { array_push($items, $r); }$pageItem->items = $items;/* Setup page vars for display. */if ($page == 0) $page = 1;//if no page var is given, default to 1.$prev = $page 1;//previous page is page 1$next = $page + 1;//next page is page + 1$lastpage = ceil($total_rows/$limit);//lastpage is = total pages / items per page, rounded up.$lpm1 = $lastpage 1;//last page minus 1/*Now we apply our rules and draw the pagination object.We're actually saving the code to a variable in case we want to draw it more than once.*/$pagination = ;if($lastpage > 1) {$pagination .= ;//previous buttonif ($page > 1)$pagination.= ;else$pagination.= ab previous';//pagesif ($lastpage < 7 + ($adjacents * 2))//not enough pages to bother breaking it up{for ($counter = 1; $counter 5 + ($adjacents * 2))//enough pages to hide some{//close to beginning; only hide later pagesif($page < 1 + ($adjacents * 2)){for ($counter = 1; $counter < 4 + ($adjacents * 2); $counter++){if ($counter == $page)$pagination.= '$counter';else$pagination.= ;}$pagination.= ;$pagination.= ;$pagination.= ;}//in middle; hide some front and some backelseif($lastpage ($adjacents * 2) > $page && $page > ($adjacents * 2)){$pagination.= ;$pagination.= ;$pagination.= ;for ($counter = $page $adjacents; $counter

So I didn't get it done in 24 hours, but the good news is that I was actually wonrikg on it pretty hardcore. At this point, I'm still finishing up the update to the variable locations used within the plugin. One cool thing that I finished yesterday was the Screen Options / Help links up top can now be customized to what location they go to or you can customize the text that shows up when you click them on a per-page basis (Manage, Add / Edit / Duplicate / Form, Reorder, etc..).More later today! So ready to commit this and start using it

This same thing occurred for the etnire month Owen was enrolled in school. I think one of two things usually happen-- the behavior after school evens out once a child fully makes the transition or... you have to immediatly redirect them once they get home and channel their energy into productive pursuits to short circuit the meltdowns. Owen was helped by redirection once he got home and having a specific plan to follow. Hope this helps!! I know it can be rough for a few weeks.
