Ok, just brought a new pressure cooker... http://images. trademe.co.nz/photoserver/21/127677921_full. jp g so today I made soup in it. Was really nice... HOWEVER, the pressure safety valve was releasing steam yet the 'doodacky' at the top wasnt? Is this right?

It looks pretty old. Perhaps contact the trader and ask them.

could be a clogged pressure valve 'doodacky' from the soup.
Soup has to be no more than about 1/2 full so it doesn't rise up too high while cooking
