I have just brought my first pressure cooker and want to know if you can cook a whole chicken in it or does it have to be cut into pieces.

I just put my one on a trivet without any liquid and let it cook. I think about 20 minutes, but look up your book for the time.

Hi Ladies. I replaced my electric pressure cooker recently. It has a high and a low setting. Can anyone tell me what foods they would cook on each setting? My previous one had three settings. Incidentally I managed to score this for $100 from Appliance shed. It's a sunbeam. I managed to do fall apart corned beef on high for an hour tonight.

Hoping you got a stand for the bottom to keep the meat off the pan. I sometimes under cook in the pressure cooker and finish in the oven to brown poultry, rub with oil and salt.
