help please with roasting my beef, I dont want to overcook it, have no oven bag or tinfoil.What temperature and for how long would I roast it for, thank you

Why not pot roast it! Topside is inclined to dry out easily in the oven

I cook mine for about 1-1¼hours at 160C for a medium to rare, can cook longer at a lower temp. Never bothered to pot roast.
Being a small piece do you have an oven proof dish with a lid you can cook it in as this helps to stop drying out.

It is possibly too late in day if you want the meat for tea. I always cook my topside in the slow cooker and prior to slow cookers i cooked the meat as a pot roast.

simmer as a pot roast after sealing in a frypan. About 2 1/2 hours for 1 1/2 to 2 kilo roast

That's is one lovely bird . Much plmepur than the chicken I see here. I used to get them from my neighbor, but they were always much older birds, long legs and a bit on the tough side . perfect for stewing.
