Just bought a box for xmas cake, fruit weighed etc. Can you offer any hints/advice please. ie Do I cover the box with brown paper etc whilst its cooking. Do I leave the cake in the tin to cool! Box expensive, better be good lol

Season the box first by placing in a 300F oven for 30mins.

I have a wooden boxto cook my Xmas cake in .I line the box with brown paper and baking paper as you cant wash the box. I leave the cake to cool in the box .The wooden box cooks a great cake
