I had this really yummy slice where the base was covered with a custard filling ( more like a custard icing) and then melted chocolate.I don't know what it was called but it was delicious.Does anyone know what it's called or have a recipe! It was not custard like you would have in custard squares.I didn't even know it was custard until I asked someone.

maybe continental slice

125g butter
1/2 C sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 pkt malt biscuits or you could use wine or similar
1 C coconut
1/2 C walnuts, chopped (optional)
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 Tbsp custard powder
2 C icing sugar

In a double boiler, mix the butter, sugar, egg and cocoa. Over boiling water, stir until mixture is smooth. Combine crushed biscuits, coconut and walnuts with remaining ingredients. Press down into a sponge roll tin and put in the fridge.
Cream the butter, milk, custard powder and icing sugar. Spread over the base in the pan.
Ice with choc icing or ganache, when set cut to desired size.
