I copied a delicious banana cake recipe off here maybe a year of 2 ago. Cooked in a ring tin and using oil rather than butter. I have made it several times but have misplaced the recipe. Help! please.

The one I make Whizz cake BANANA CAKE - No melting, no mashing, and no creaming. Place in kitchen whizz: 1 1/4 cups sugar, 100gr butter, 1/2 cup milk, 2-3 bananas, 2 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla and blend till smooth. Add: 2 cups flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt. Bake in lined 23cm tin in moderate oven 40-50 minutes until cake springs back when touched. Leave in tin 5-10 minutes before turning out. Sorry didn't note the original poster, I use oil instead of butter with no problem & have also used GF flour successfully.

Thank you Nannsee1 I do have one similar to yours but it's not the one I;m searching for.I believe the one I'm looking for was slightly smaller, took 35mins to cook and had less sugar. Cheers S

This recipe is one I found on a thread here which I have slightly modified. Butterless Banana Cake :
1.5 cups of plain flour 3 teaspoons Baking Powder 1 teaspoon Baking Soda 3/4 cup of sugar
Sift into large bowl, then add :
2 eggs (lightly beaten) 1/2 cup oil (I use Olys or Rice Bran) 3 mashed bananas 1 tsp vanilla
Mix and pour into a lined cake tin. Bake at 140 C fanbake or 160 C in an oven without a fan for 1 hour. Doesn't require icing but you can ice if desired. I imagine a cream cheese icing would be scrummy.
I also double the recipe, make in a big roasting dish and freeze some if it for later. Hope this helps :)
