Has anyone used the Edmonds recipe, and shallowed fried in a bit of oil!

I do frypan scones. Same mix I use for ordinary scone but oil or butter frypan add scone mix and cook until nice and golden brown then turn over. They are nice for a change and if you in a bit of a hurry.

Yes I"ve done fried scones - not for a long time though.Absolutely delicious, especially with lashings of golden syrup!Hardly the healthy alternative, but everything in moderation .including excess=)

I remember my grandmother, 60 years ago, frying ordinary premade scones with the bacon and egg for breakfast and cottage cut chips from left over boiled potatoes. It was porridge, bacon and eggs etc, then marmalade and toast with a cup of tea every morning for everyone at her house.

Mmmmmmmm! I LOVE these frypan scones. My mom always made them when she would make loaves of homemade bread. Super yummy!!!!
