Will it matter if i use normal sugar?

Caster sugar is finer and therefore dissolves far more easily. If you dont have it just use ordinary, or if you have a food processor, just pop the ordianry sugar in there and pulse a little to make the granules smaller.

Agree with both posters - but if you want an easier time creaming the butter and sugar, caster sugar is the way to go.

Make sure you measure by weight. Caster sugar is finer, therefore you get 'more' in a cup or on a spoon. The difference MAY alter the finished product texture or sweetness.
