I just googled a reciepe for lemon honey or lemon curd and it requires a stick of butter. How much is a stick of butter ? I haven't heard that before.

Thanks for that, my daughter and I got the giggles on gessing how much it might be.Thought Id ask to see if anyone knew.Older recipies can be quite hard to understand.

.jillybeen., the use of a "stick of butter" does not necessarily indicate that a recipe is an "older recipe" because it states to use a "stick of butter".Was the recipe for the "lemon honey or lemon curd" an American one?
Just as we buy butter, usually, in a 500g block, in the US butter is sold by the "stick" which, as advised above = 4oz.4oz is commonly equated to 125g but if you're really wanting to be accurate 4oz = 114g (1oz = 28.4g).:-))

Would be quite useful to buy butter in those foil-wrapped 'sticks'.Save some weighing and measuring :)
