Quick ginger beer question

leah14, Jun 2, 3:56am
hi all
when i'm feeding my ginger beer "plant" (the one started with yeast and sugar) am i supposed to stir in the daily feed of sugar and ginger (and therefore disturb the sediment at the bottom) or am i supposed to sprinkle the ginger and sugar and let it float to the bottom?
thanks!

As far as i can remember, i think you just let it dissolve on its own as opposed to stirring or shaking.

if you search the message board for 'ginger beer' you'll come up with quite a lot of threads and recipes. that's what i did. but i'm not sure whether its going to work. ive got a few bottles of brew sitting under the hbouse. hopefully they'll fizz soon! ! !

there is also a recipe where they use sultanas in the plant rather than yeast.
