This may sound like a silly question but how does everyone make red icing is it just the quantity of red food colouring you put in! Mine jut doesn't seem to get past the pink stage :-S

If using fondant you should use a gel or paste food colouring from cake decorating shops. (They sell it on here)Don't use the supermarket liquid as it will ruin the fondant.

None better unless you can get your hands on red Satin Ice fondant, beats Bakels hands down for ease of use!

Yep I love satin Ice too, but being in Kaitaia the supply is darn hard to come buy and when I do find it its bloody expensive. but fantastic stuff.
