the kids are going to have a go at icing some gingerbread men after we make them today.I want an icing that'll go hard, not buttercream (otherwise they'll just hose the piping bag into each others mouths!).What's the best icing recipe you've used to get nice icing on your gingerbread?TIA

royal icing - just lightly beat one egg white and then gradually beat in icing sugar until its the right consistency. easy peasy

Thank you so much, it's so much less likely to be hosed into the mouth than buttercream!
