TOPSIDE ROAST

done in a slow cooker. Do I just put this in with a little water and let it do its thing?

add an onion and some mixed herbs to the slow cooker, then you can get it all out when your roast is done and use the juice thats leftover to make a scrummy gravy.

I agree but I always add carrots, celery and a bay leaf. Then squish all the bits through a sieve and use as the base for the gravy.

I just sploshbalsamic vinegar over mine. . If I toss a 2kg piece in my crockpot, I put it on low at about 10am and it's falling apart juicy and tender at 6pm or thereabouts!

Yep, bay leaf, celery, carrot, onion, your basic stock mixture.
Depending what you want you can add other herbs, red wine etc. Makes a nice pot roast like that... .

I brown my piece of meat first, then add an oxo cube, bay leaf , maggi onion soup mix and ground black pepper with just a little bit of water to mix everything together. this makes the most delicious gravy
