in the garden. What do you do with yours? Freeze them? and if so with the husk on or off

ferita, Mar 1, 5:50am
husk on
Corn soup is nice

I freeze them with the husk off and cut into three's. . I find it's easier to grab a few pieces and toss them in a pan of boiling water when they are needed.

Freeze, husk off, blanched first.

I agree. Tried them not blanched once and were yuk.

Yup. . easier to clean up when fresh... cut into cobbs, 3 for large long and 2 for smaller ones. . Into large pot of rolling boiling water with a tsp of salt for about 2 or so mins and then using tongs, into sink of real cool/iced water. . pat dry into vacuum freeze bag and label. . I do lots of 2, 4, 6so I can use them for different occasions... .

Dont blanch them, just freeze them. Husks on or off, doesnt matter.
