Neenish Slice Recipe frm the Women's Weekly wtd

Hi there

Just wondered if anyone has one of the latest women's weekly mags (the one that had Kate Hawkesby and Mike Hoskings on the front cover)

I am after the "Neenish Slice" recipe in it, I had a copy of the mag, but absent mindedly biffed the mag into the recycling bin (which has now been collected) before i ripped the recipe out. ( the recipe looked yum, it had a choc base then the lemon filling, then the choc icing)
ps I have checked the NZWW website and its not on there.

Neenish Slice

base

150g butter
3/4cup sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp cocoa
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder

filling

25g butter
4 tbsp condensed milk
1 3/4 cups icing sugar
2 tbsp lemon juice
100g dark chocolate

Preheat oven to 180C.
Beat butter and sugar until pale and creamy.
Add egg, mix well.
Addcocoa, flour and baking powder and mix well.
Press mixture into a lined 28x18cm slice pan
bake for 20minutes until firm.
Allow base to cool.
Melt the 25g butter and mix with condensed milk, icing sugar and lemon juice.
Spread over base and refrigerate until set.
Gently melt chocolate and spread a thin layer over the slice.
Mark into squares whenchocolate is slightly firm
Slice when set.

Mmm - I too am a Neenish Tart fan but have only ever made them once. This looks much easier. Thanks for posting the recipe.
