Question about Haier Clothes Dryer -

annie.nz, Jun 12, 1:45am
We bought a Haier 7kg condenser dryer last week, delivered yesterday, and the door opening mechanism is stiff - so stiff it stripped out the screws on the door catch the second time I opened it. So it's going back.

Question is - do I get a refund (L V Martin, and we kept the packaging, so can return within 14 days), or get another. It seems a nice dryer, but if the door catch is indicative of the general quality of construction, perhaps should consider another brand.

I'd like to hear if anyone else has any experience with these dryers, and how happy they have been with them. Thanks -

I would get another one... If the next oen is faulty then change brands.
You might have just struck a bad one.
Can you test it in store before you get it home?

That's good advice, thanks. I don't think testing it in store is an option, since delivery is from the warehouse supply rather than the shop itself.

In the meantime, my husband has switched the door opening, and we're trying again.
