It was more just the short pastry to use for tarts

Short pastry (for sweet add 25g sugar and 1 egg yolk and water to the mix)
225g flour 1/4 t salt 125g butter or lard or margarine 1t baking powder Cold water to mix
Sift flour and salt, rub in the fat with the tips of the fingers, add BP and mix to a very stiff dough with a little water. (Too much water makes the pastry tough).
Roll out very thinly and do not handle more than necessary.
Bake at 200C for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
