I had a lovely plate of corn fritters with a side green salad. The dressing on the salad was sweet, and clear looking. What would it have been! Sorry dressing virgin here!

Don't be shy.approach the restauranteur or cafe owner and enquire. I have done this before with success. It's worth a shot, instead of trying to guess and second guess!

experiment a bit.Try white wine vinegar, oilve oil, salt and pepper and a bit of sugar. maybe add lemon juice, that sort of thing.
