Baking using cornflakes.

Apart from Afghans, I am after a recipe for biscuits, that I had somewhere they were kind of the texture of a hokey pokey biscuits, but had cornflakes in them, they were so nice.

Looks good, will just leave the sultanas out as the kids are fussy lol

Chocolate Cornflake Biscuits:
150g butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tspoon vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups flour
1 tspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chocolate chips or chocolate drops
2 cups cornflakes

Melt butter in large saucepan or large bowl (if doing it in microwave)
stir in sugar, cool, stir in egg and vanilla
sift in flour and baking powder. stir in chocolate chips and cornflakes.
Combine well.Break off tablespoons of dough and place on greased trays.
Press top with fork.
Bake at 180 degrees for 10 to 15 mins
makes about 24 biscuits

125gr butter
125gr sugar
2 - 3c kornies
6oz flour
1tsp b/powder
2 eggs
1tsp g/syrup
1tsp vanilla essence
1c fruit
Cream butter & sugar, add eggs, syrup & vanilla. Beat well. Add chopped fruit (dates, sultans.raisins) then dry ingredients
Bake moderate oven

My mum-in-law makes scrummy Honey Biscuits, here's the recipe if you'd like to try it!>>>>
Melt:
250gr butter, 1 cup sugar, 2 good tabspoons hoeny
Add: 2 tsp baking soda, 2 cups cornflakes, 2 cups flour.
Mix altogether in a cake mixer. Place med size spponfuls onto tray. (it will be quite sticky) so once you've filled the tray, go back & roll into neat balls.I fan bake @ 150 C fo about 10-15 mins.
