Edmonds recipe for Cornflake coated biscuits pse

My 1992 Edmonds book can't be old enough as don't have the above recipe.Am looking for the recipe like New World make.biscuit with sultana and mixed peel, then rolled in cornflakes.delicious.Does anyone have the Edmonds recipe for this please!Thanks.

I'd use this one & change the ginger to sultanas & mixed peel.
Ginger Crunchies
125g butter
125g sugar
1 egg
100g finely chopped crystallised ginger
60g Custard powder
200g flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
Cream butter and sugar, add the egg and beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir through the chopped ginger. Make into balls and roll in lightly crushed cornflakes. Bake 190C about 20 minutes.
I often use this as a basic recipe & add what I feel like on the day.

Recipe I use. You can use sultanas etc

KORNIE BUNS
4 ozs butter 4 ozs sugar
6 ozs flour 1 teas B P 2 eggs vanilla
1 teas Golden syrup 1 cup fruit
Cream butter & sugar, add eggs then syrup & vanilla & , beat well - add chopped dates then dry ingredients. Roll spoonfulls in kornies and bake in moderate oven.

Can use Kornies or Cornflakes for coating.

This is an old recipe my mum used to make, maybe this is the one you are looking fo, you can change the dries fruit to what ever you wish.

Cornflake Biscuts.

4 oz butter4 oz sugar
1 cup flour1 cup dates and nuts
1 egg1 tsp B.P.
½ tsp salt

Cream butter and sugar, add egg. Then dry ingredients and fruit.
Take teaspoon lots of mixture, roll into balls and roll in cornflakes.
Bake in moderate oven 15- 20 minutes.
