I would use white sugar plus 1 tab Golden syrup, don't ask me why But it must be something lurking in the back of my mind! !

This is the first time I have come into the recipe thread just wanted to say it is great. Particularly to Jase, I copied and pasted several of you crockpot recipes this Arvo.

Substitute 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar plus 1 tablespoon molasses for 1 cup dark brown sugar.

Substitute 1 cup granulated sugar plus 2 to 3 tablespoons molasses for 1 cup dark brown sugar.
