ok, here's one that my Mum made many times when I was a child and I too have made the recipe a good number of times over the years......
FUDGE CAKE 115g each of butter and sugar 1 egg ½ tbsp milk ¼ cup sultanas (optional) 1 tbsp cocoa ¼ cup walnuts 1 tsp vanilla essence 225g plain biscuits, crumbed
Melt the butter and sugar together, then add the egg, milk and sultanas. Cook for a few minutes – DO NOT BOIL – then add the biscuits, cocoa, walnuts and vanilla essence. Remove from the heat and press into a tin. When set, ice with chocolate icing. Note: The sultanas and walnuts may both be omitted and 1 cup seedless raisins used instead.:-))
