Mine seems to leave about the same each time i make a loaf. You should have some starter left over after you finish making your bread Approx1C!, feed this with 1/2C water and 1/2C flour, put into the fridge till you need it next. The night before or few hours before you want to make your bread add 1C flour 1C water, this should give you enough to get your 2C starter and leave some over to start the cycle again. clear as mud!

35 or so years ago we were all giving away this starter along with a recipe for Friendship cake which used it - it was delicious.Has anyone this recipe.Also years later I used the starter for chocolate muffins.They were also delicious and extremely economical - you could get dozens from a small amount of mixture ( I was quite famous for them for a long while)Have also mislaid that recipe.

My sister in the USA has it.hers is for morning glory muffins which uses the same starter from memory.

Id be interested in any recipes that you can use your sourdough starter for.
