Help with an unknown recipe

Hello.
This is a long shot but i am looking for a recipe for a slice i used to eat when i was a kid. I have no idea what it was called how ever.

it will be some sort of fudge although it didnt have chunky bits of biscuit through it and was a very light colour almost a buttery colour. the final product was quite soft like it didnt harden like other fudge cake, maybe a buttery caramel condensed milk type fudge i dont know but if anyone can help. i remember it had choclate icing on top. this is going back 20 years ago so forgive me for the bad description.

Is the base cooked and then has a soft caramel like middle which does not have condensed milk in it. If so it is called Poormans caramel slice.I got this recipe offtrademe awhile ago.Is really nice and has chocolate lcing ontop of the caramel centre.
