I found a nice recipe for a perssimon cake but it has come out as more of a pudding cake. Is there a way I can change recipe to make it more cake, was wondering if I add more flour

This doesn't directly answer the 'pudding' question, but everything I've tried to make with persimmons has failed for lack of flavour and needed a flavour boost from something else.
