Hi all - what changes would you make to the following recipe to use it in a slow cooker?ie more or less water, cook lentils first or would they cook in the cooker? How many hours on low??The recipe looks yummy but I'm just learning to use my crockpot so any ideas would be great!!!Thanks :)

you maynot need to change muchperhaps add a little water if you are cooking it for 8 hrs on low because your out. lentils should be fine i put them in my soup that i do in crockppot and its fine if you worried you can soak them overnight and then add them in the morning when you put crockpot on.
your sausages wont be brown so you can brown first but i dont bother.
crockpots are awesome. there are some great threads on here. i have made many puddings in it also. choc self saucing and rice pudding. yum!

Turn your S/C on to high to heat up. Brown sausages in a hot pan, chop your vegs put them in S/C put sausages on top add all other ingredients, gently mix to combine. Liquid should just about cover meat and veg, if not add little more water, usually converting recipes you add less liquid as S/C creates more with the steaming. Cook on auto or high for a shorter time, sprinkle with parsley before serving.
