I am wanting a good old fashioned plain shortcake base recipe used for Chocolate Caramel Square, without coconut or brown sugar and rolled oats...thanks and any help is appreciated :)

My choc caramel fingers recipe should do, the base is: 125g Butter 1/2 C Sugar 1 Egg 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence 1 C Flour 2 Tbsp Cocoa 1 Tsp Baking Powder Cream butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well.
