I usually melt in over water ina pot but this time decided it would be quicker to use microwave. It was melting nicely but I thought I would give it a little longer and now it has gone hard and stodgy, can it be remelted!

It would probably taste burnt. I do it in 30 sec bursts, stir thoroughly and don't let it melt completely, the heat from it should melt any remaining bits. Also if you have a tupperware red jug, it is great for melting choc in.

The chocolate has seized - best just to throw it out and start again

if you had to then remelt over a double boiler, but always use a little butter when melting choc in microwave ;)
