Help! Lite cream won't whip

dondon12, Sep 15, 1:08am
I bought Lite cream for my scones (with jam etc), thinking it would be sleightly better for us, but it won't whip! it should tho ah! shouldn't be any differant from usual cream!

in my experience lite cream never whips, mainly because it has had a lot of the fat removed, which is what helps it to whip and hold its shape.

Add some vanilla instant pudding, should work if that is all you have.

if it's really cold, it should whip up

It does say on the bottle (under the 300ml)that it is unsuitable for whipping.

I have whipped lite cream before as normal but if you go to use some the next day it is runny again and can't be whipped any more.

I have managed to whip it up if it is really cold by putting it in the freezer for about 45-60 minutes. As someone said you can't whip it up again once it has gone runny.
